Client Feedback
Technical Summary:
With Alpha coming to a close, we handed in a packaged version of the game alongside the gameplay videos as evidence as to what we had achieved. The above document is a review on our performance during the Alpha Phase, documenting what we were doing well, and what we could improve on. Continuing on from here, we plan to keep in close contact with the client so that we can receive feedback on what they feel is something we should include in the game, what they aren't a fan of, and how we can further improve on what we've been developing so that we can satisfy the desires of the client.
Reflection:
This feedback from out client is great, it is so reassuring that we are in a positive state and we are really grasping the project with the right mindset and methodology in mind. I am glad that the communication has really become a strong suit of our team, being the first collaborative project between the three of us. As mentioned in the feedback, we do have a lot of placeholder assets currently, and hope to progress through Alpha by improving the visuals and building upon the game as a whole.
Alpha Client Pitch
Technical Summary:
The above video is a piece of a client feedback call at the beginning of March, in the closing days of Alpha production and the dawn of Beta. We received feedback from Charlie (Next Gen Skills Academy) and Stephanie (Freelance Consultant) regarding our overall pitch and current state of the game. For this, we refined the original group pitch to document some of the transitions we'd made throughout Alpha, as well as showing off the sneaking method.
Reflection:
This was a very helpful feedback call, helping us understand what we needed to significantly improve on, as well as small changes to benefit the player further in game. It was also a fun occasion to express the game to industry people, showing them what we were all capable of and proud of within the project. The only element of this that holds this back, is just how unprepared we were for this call. This was a situation we were completely unaware of until an hour before the call would take place, creating the rushed recreation of our Group Pitch, it was also difficult to discuss the overall art direction and art style since we were a man down for this. For the next call at the end of Beta, we will hopefully be a full team and more prepared to show off the improvements and developments we make throughout Beta.
